Not that we need another reason to visit Italy, but the prospect of exploring the European hotspot as part of an uber-luxe train journey is about to take the adventure to a whole new level.
Launching in early 2025, La Dolce Vita Orient Express will offer nine one- and two-night itineraries stretching across the country - from the colourful fishing village of Portofino in Italy's north-western region to the otherworldly city of Matera in the south.
Check in to one of the 12 cabins with plush sofas that turn into double beds, or for a bit more space, opt for one of the 18 suites (pictured) with double beds, separate sofas and small dining areas.
Whichever option you go for, you'll have access to your own ensuite, and inclusions such as gourmet meals, select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and excursions.
Itineraries from 3500 euros ($5768) per person, per night are available to book via phone now and will go on sale online from April 24. orient-express.com/la-dolce-vita
