There's never a boring moment in the world of cruising. Here's proof.
The cruising world is showing no signs of slowing down, with Aurora Expeditions announcing the upcoming launch of its new vessel. Named Douglas Mawson in honour of the Australian geologist and Antarctic explorer, the 154-passenger expedition ship will set sail in late 2025, marking the return of the cruise line in East Antarctica for the first time in 15 years. Around the same time, exciting cruises will be taking place closer to home, too.
Family-friendly operator Royal Caribbean has just put on sale exclusive Wiggles cruises for the summer of 2025 and 2026, with the cast of the Australian children's music group onboard to entertain the crowds.
Meanwhile, Scenic has just confirmed its uber-luxe vessel, Scenic Eclipse II, launched last year in Europe, will be arriving in Australia on April 19, ahead of its maiden Kimberley season this winter. auroraexpeditions.com.au; royalcaribbean.com; scenic.com.au
